PAO-AND-POLYOL-ESTER
Date 2011.02.25
regarding your questions:
a) Furthermore, we would like to inquiry that what level the polyolester oil that generally used in Germany and what level the oil that your company uses belongs to?
As You should know the final formulation of a synthetic motor oil mainly based on PAO base stocks belongs to particular requirements given by official and / or internal specifications of the OEM´s. Further on additional specific requirement hints from client side such as nicer friction properties, better sealing compatibilities, lower pour points e.g. may lead to particular client adopted formulations with slightly varied formulations in contrary to the “original” recipes. Your DLE recipes are such ones, synthetic motor oils with well-balanced PAO-/Ester structure in correct wt.-% ratios of both base fluids exactly adapted to your market inquiries.
I hope that I understood Your question correctly so that I´d convince You in the right way from the pretty good quality of the DLE oils You bought from us.
b) We have heard that the old PAO is no longer allowed to sell in Germany.
The PAO quality is strictly fixed on specifications which are given since many years without any deviations as I know. Perhaps You have heard that there were limitations of volumes of PAO base stocks due to the fact that India and China soaked off all the PAO, Esters from the European market for their own manufacturing purposes, because their own PAO- and Ester production was formerly too low. But this only influences the price level negatively explaining a price increase of 35cent per liter as of 01.02.2011. … not longer allowed to sell that is a tale.
c) Only PAO omega RT or higher level is allowed in market from 2011. Would you please let us know what level of your company PAO is?
Our PAO sources are well-known ones (mainly Fortum) and their PAO are top-tier qualities.
d) We also would like to know What PAO level you have use in DLE products ?
The PAO-dosage ratios depend on particular DLE product as we agreed.
Dr. Bock sent you specific information regarding your products:
“We spoke about the motor oils 5W50 (Article no. 20116) and 5W60 (Article no. 20117) and their features.
We can guarantee that these both a.m. products have the following benefits:
- very good shear stability (even under high performance conditions at higher temperatures)
- superior wear protection
- extraordinary corrosion and ageing inhibition
- good deep temperature behaviour and last not least
- low evaporation loss.
Furtheron we may give you the following inputs concerning the base oils incorporated:
5W50 (20116) contains >45% PAO (Polyalphaolefins) plus Polyolester
5W60 (20117) consists of >55% PAO (Polyalphaolefins) plus Polyolester.
All of these incorporated PAO and Polyolesters are very shear-stable as well as thermal- & hydrolytical-stable ones.”
