ATF 9004 has been tailored to the special requirements of Mercedes-Benz 7-speed automatic transmissions (NAG-2/model designation 722.9). Its optimized friction system ensures improve shifting comfort, even under full performance application and during the whole drain interval. ATF 9004 is backward compatible to the former MB 236.12 and replaces it in almost every application (refer to manufacturer filling instruction). Especially in 5-speed transmissions with regulated torque converter lockup clutch (model designation 722.6), fitted to vehicles with rear wheel drive, it provides remarkable improvement of shifting quality. ATF 9004 is also suitable for vehicles of other makes, equipped with MB automatic transmissions (eg. Chrysler Crossfire, Ssang Yong, etc)
